UK Debt Management and IVA Plans

The UK has plunged into being a nation with one of the highest rates of debt per population. As with most things in this nation, the law has in place a system whereby debts can be written off. Although this may not be new, the publicity in the headlines has brought it to most people’s attention and debt management now has become more of a way of life than something to be ashamed of.

There are many more reasons nowadays why people end up in debt. The main reasons are due to losing your job, getting divorced, and becoming sick all of which can lead to falling behind with your regular outgoings such as rent or the mortgage. Inevitably this leads to taking on other forms of credit and ultimately puts you in a position of not being able to afford to pay any of these debts off. For some years the lead up to this has been foreseen and steps have been taken by the Government to put in place a legal way to deal with these types of problems.

A debt management plan allows you to make repayments to your creditors with payments which you can actually afford. Although this is possible to do without the need of a third party, the use of a debt management company is without doubt less time consuming and less stressful. The company will assess your financial position and take over the management of all your unsecured debts. Although they usually charge for this service, they are able in many cases to freeze or reduce the interest occurring on the debts. The arrangement is flexible and debt management companies usually advice on change of circumstance and whether your case would be more suitable for an IVA plan instead.

An Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) is a formal repayment agreement between a debtor (person owing money) and their creditors (the people who are owed money). This is a legally binding agreement and allows you to make reduced payments to your creditor over an agreed time limit usually 5 years. It is not unusual for up to 75% of the debt to be written off. IVA’s are only suitable for persons with debts over £15000, and are administered by a fully qualified licensed insolvency practitioner. Creditors accept a reduced offer of repayment in full and final settlement of the debt. The downside to IVA plans, are that your credit ratings are affected up to 72 months after the IVA period is over.

For a comparison of the best debt management companies around please visit Shop Now UK whereby the costs associated with either of these plans are itemised.

Shopping for Arts and Crafts via the Web for Your Home and Interior Ideas

Arts and Crafts’ can be defined as an expression as influenced by the many cultures and peoples of the world. For this reason, the internet is a very powerful medium in which to explore the history and cultural influences that have affected modern day thinking. When shopping for arts and crafts on the internet, there is such a vast array of choice, it is very difficult to know exactly where to begin.

This article attempts to help the user decipher through the different art and cultural themes that are readily available in the modern day online arts and crafts shop and help point out the right direction for those who simply want to create a warm and welcoming feel to their own home.

Without going into too much fine detail, broadly speaking we can categorise the types of art and crafts into two basic divisions that of traditional Art and Modern or Contemporary Art. Depending upon the atmosphere and theme you want to create within your own home, your focus could be on either one of these or indeed both, by creating a contemporary feel with the addition of traditional influence.

My first suggestion in the quest for generating good ideas would be to subscribe to a popular 'Home and Interiors' magazine. Generally buying a subscription like this from a internet mall will save up to at least 40% or more on a yearly subscription. With each magazine sent to your home you will be able to begin investigating and developing an idea you can create for your own home. A choice of magazines can be found at a good shopping mall like ShopNow.UK.com and within any one of these magazines, you will gain ideas which will help begin your journey on creating a rich and diverse feel for your home, the like of which you had only ever dreamt about before.

The ideas gained from these sources of information can then lead for your search on the internet for items of interest that can be readily available from the internet stores. One such internet store found here at Art.co.uk lists a vast array of paintings and prints from traditional to contemporary alike. From abstract to Vincent Van Gogh this website allows you to browse items of interest that once purchased can transform a room in your home from being very mediocre to something wonderful and expressive.

Other internet stores like Laura Ashley or Next provide also a whole range of home furnishing and craft ideas that can compliment your choice of style and flavour. Finally for something more individual and taylored to an individuals taste is the store found at Designers Guild which provides a diverse range of interest to cover almost everyones taste.

Shopping Online Efficiently and Economically

Whilst shopping online has become a realistic alternative for most people in this new age of communication and technology, I have found there still to be some irritating obstacles that need to be overcome to shop online efficiently and economically. This article will attempt to give you some tips on how to achieve this so that the job at hand, i.e. buying what you want online can be done as effortlessly as possible.

As with all new gadgets, our computer or PC must be clear from clutter. Regular memory cleaning and scans must be undertaken to keep our PC from acting very slow. This use to be more of a problem in the early days of computing when as you no doubt remember, we relied on the often slow ‘dial up’ procedure and our PC’s only had small memory in comparison. The last thing we need whilst shopping online is a PC not performing well, as this will prolong the shopping experience. Today PC’s are far greater in capacity and the high speed broadband makes life easier although even with these advances we should always strive to keep our PC clean from sometimes malicious spyware and malware.

When shopping online we usually visit several stores each of which will require a username and password. Oftentimes when we don't visit this site for a few weeks or even months afterwards, we forget our login details which can be very frustrating and time consuming. Rather than set up a new account we have to go through the procedure of re setting the password and this distracts from our main focus. I have found that keeping your login details written in a notepad can be the best way to manage this, a little like keeping phone numbers. I use Firefox also and if we intend using the same PC each time we buy online then Firefox offers a 'remember' password service which automatically logs in these details into it's memory. Each time we visit we are logged in straightaway.

Another tool also offerd for free by Google on their search bar allows you to 'autofill' forms. This tool saves time filling the forms out when you register your details at a Merchants online store. The tool also offers the ability to save your credit card details in the memory, so visiting a new store speeds up the process of online shopping considerably. It is worth downloading their navigation toolbar for free and this will appear usually below your browser.
